Frothy Mix Rides The Waambulance

"Yes, he may have the right to belittle and degrade us, but that doesn't mean we have to sit by and not fight back. That is why I need your support today, and your contribution of $25, $50, $100, or $250 to my campaign will help us do just that! [Dan Savage] is the reason my children cannot Google their father's name." - Former Sen. Rick "Frothy Mix" Santorum, whose campaign fundraising is floundering at the bottom (heh) of the pack.

Celery

"I will tell you my favorite food of all time is celery. Honest to God my favorite food is celery. Straight up celery. I will personally consume the entire stalk of celery. At the Thanksgiving table I have the plate of celery in front of me." - Michele Bachmann, via Andrew Sullivan.

Lauderdale Wants Gay Honeymooners

Fort Lauderdale tourism officials are hoping that New Yorkers will consider South Florida when it comes to making honeymoon plans. Therefore, they've launched a contest.
Just in time for New York's first gay marriages set for Sunday, Greater Fort Lauderdale is launching a contest for gay newlyweds a chance to win honeymoon packages at The Royal Palms Resort & Spa or The Atlantic Resort & Spa. The 62-room Royal Palms offers a winning couple a five-night stay, a couples massage, chocolate strawberries, rainbow roses, plus dinner for two at G.G.'s, with a wine flight and special cake dessert. The Atlantic Resort & Spa, a 124-room luxury hotel overlooking the ocean, offers a contest winner a three-night stay in an ocean-view studio with private balcony, kitchenette and marble bathroom, plus a couples massage, two welcome cocktails and if available, a room upgrade.
More people already visit Florida from New York than from any other state.

Sex Symbol 'Modern Family' Star Sofia Vergara's Next Real Life Role May be a Politician's Wife

“I love my sex symbol status,” says Sofia Vergara, who plays Ed O'Neill's bombshell Colombian wife on the ABC comedy series "Modern Family".

Modern Family Star Sofia Vergara Loves Being a Sex Symbol
The Modern Family star, who plays foxy, lively housewife Gloria Delgado Pritchett on the Emmy-winning series, says she isn't bothered by the extra attention she gets for owning her sex appeal.

Sofia Vergara, 39, talking to FOX News further said, “"I love it. Of course, it's great at my age. It's fantastic.”

Vergara’s next role, a real life role, may be a politician’s wife as her boyfriend Nick Loeb is considering running for a U.S. Senate seat from Florida next year.

Nick Loeb, a banking heir and environmental consultant, said about his potential campaign, "The Emmys are September 18 and I'll probably make a decision after that." Glad he's got his priorities straight!

VERMONT: Sued Innkeepers Respond

The owners of Vermont's Wildflower Inn have responded to the ACLU's lawsuit filed against them for refusing to host a gay wedding reception.
"We have never refused rooms or dining or employment to gays or lesbians," they wrote. "Many of our guests have been same-sex couples. We welcome and treat all people with respect and dignity. We do not however, feel that we can offer our personal services wholeheartedly to celebrate the marriage between same-sex couples because it goes against everything that we as Catholics believe in."
You can fuck all night in our rooms as unmarried sinners!

Slaggie Gilamonster On NY Marriage

"The underlying truth that 'pro-equality' Republicans need to understand is this: They are aiding and abetting a political movement that, at this point in history, seeks to make traditional Christian views on sex and marriage unacceptable in the public square — just as racist views on interracial marriage are unacceptable — by heaping scorn and hatred on any American who does something to support marriage as one man and one woman. The marriage debate is about redefining not only marriage, but the relationship between Judeo-Christian values and the American tradition. I just wonder what these 'pro-equality' conservatives think will be left to conserve after that." - Maggie Gallagher, crying like a titty-baby because people are mean on the internet.

Randy Thomasson: It May Take Another Civil War To Stop Gay Brainwashing

"We can harken back to our American revolution. The Declaration of Independence has a long list of sayings that the colonists were lobbying King George III about, but King George III just kept coming back with more and more taxes, he didn’t listen. So they said, well, you know what, it’s our right to alter or dissolve the government. And that’s what we’re doing, we’re declaring independence. We’re not there yet but I tell you what if we don’t start voting different and telling people how to vote and if pastors don’t repent and teach people how to vote Christianly, then we’re heading to toward a real civil war I’m afraid." - Randy Thomasson, head of the hate group Save California.

CANADA: Hate Group Hates That Hating Might Cost Them Tax Exempt Status

An snti-gay Christian hate group in Canada is furious at the New Democrats for endorsing a resolution calling for an end to the tax exempt status of groups performing "ex-gay" therapy.
Brian Rushfeldt, executive director of Canada Family Action (CFA), contends the NDP's resolution is "blatant discrimination" against groups that assist those exiting the homosexual lifestyle. Canada Family Action"When they will target a few particular ministries that minister to people wanting to get out of the homosexual lifestyle ... and say, 'We're going to shut you down,' there is no other word for it except blatant discrimination based somehow on left-wing socialist ideology," Rushfeldt decides. "Thankfully, the NDP is simply a party that will never, I don't think, be forming government in Canada. So that's a great protection for us from this kind of ideology."

GOProud's LaSalvia: Being Gay-Bashed Proves That Hate Crimes Laws Don't Work

Sen. Chuck Grassley: My DOMA Witness Was Too Afraid Of Violent Gays To Testify

Think Progress has the transcript:
"The minority very much hoped to call a witness today at this hearing to testify in support of DOMA, I’m sure she would have done an excellent job. She declined, however, citing one reason the threats and intimidation that have been leveled not only her but her friends and family as a result of her support of DOMA. She will continue to write on the issue but will no longer speak publicly."
How convenient!

Rabbi Yehuda Levin: Gay Marriage Caused The Murder Of An 8 Year-Old Hassidic Boy

"Why was this [death of Kletzky] allowed to happen? Let’s think about it. If we go back to the cause, the effect was he was the victim, but the cause was a Jew [Yiddish] that the evil will come to destroy you within your midst. For too long we have been turning our cheek, we have been turning away and ignoring the agenda of the descendants of Amalek [evil]. First they [gays] wanted rights, then they wanted adoption, they wanted special protections, and ultimately they wanted marriage.

"And we all know that we did precious little. If those three or fourth thousand people [who searched for the boy when he went missing], at the direction of the greater Israel and their leaders and their common sense, would have come out, maybe, against the marriage, against this final nail in the coffin of morality, maybe we wouldn’t have had to had this episode of Amalek [evil] replay itself. This is a time for introspection. This came in the very aftermath of the marriage bill, my dear friends, and not doing anything." - NOM ally Rabbi Yehuda Levin, blaming the passage of same-sex marriage on the murder of an eight year-old Hassidic boy in Brooklyn, who was killed by a heterosexual, divorced observant Jew.
