New York State preliminaries have begun for potential contestants in the search for 2011′s state titleholder for the Miss Teen and Miss New York Latina Pageant, scheduled for March 6,2011 at the Crowne Plaza LaGuardia Hotel, Located at 104-04 Ditmars Boulevard East Elmhurst NY, which is an exclusive sponsor of the Miss Teen and Miss New York Latina Pageant! State Director, Pamela Ruiz, is calling female competitors in the Miss Teen division who are between the ages of (13 – 17) years of age and (18 – 27) years of age for the Miss division. Applicants should be of Hispanic/Latin Decent, never married with no children, a legal resident of the United States and born in New York State to participate in this longest running pageant system for United States Latina women.

MISS NEW YORK LATINA U.S. CONTESTANTS

 Areas of competition for Miss Teen will include: Personal Interview, Fashion Wear, Evening Gown, and Final on stage question segment. Areas of competition for Miss will include the same segments with the inclusion of a swimsuit competition. Contestants will have an opportunity to win an official crown made with Swarovski Crystals and sash, title recognition with web page, photo and bio, Pro Art Stage Cosmetic Collection from Markwin International,an exclusive photoshoot, eatured cover model for the 2012 program book, and so much more! The winners will also go on to compete in the national finals at the Miss Latina US and Miss Teen US Latina Pageants, which is the official national preliminary to Miss Latin America of the World Pageant! The crowned Miss Queen will also receive an all expense paid roundtrip accommodations to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for the Miss Latina America of the World Pageant with accommodations at the Barceló Resort.The Miss Teen and Ms New York Latina Pageant focuses not only on physical beauty but also on community outreach, cultural appreciation,academic success and career advancement.
