Olivia Wilde has filed for divorce in Los Angeles from her filmmaker husband Tao Ruspoli after eight years of marriage, records show.
"Irreconcilable differences" were cited as the reason for the split, media reported on Friday.
Wilde's publicist confirmed the couple separated last month.
"Olivia got married really young. She's done a lot of growing since then, just like anyone would. ... They've just grown in different directions," a source told media.
Wilde, 27, is best known for her work in TV's "House" and in the movies "Year One" and "Tron."
Ruspoli, 35, has directed the films "Fix," "Behind the Wheel" and "Being in the World."
