| Manissha Lamba Arrested at Airport |
Mumbai, 18 May 2011: Bollywood actress Minissha Lamba, who walked the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival last week, was today held at the international airport after undeclared jewellery was allegedly found in her possession, an official said.
The 26-year-old Minissha Lamba, who arrived at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport from Cannes, France via Dubai by an Emirates flight at 8.30 am; was crossing the green channel when she was stopped customs officials. Customs officials found undeclared jewellery worth over Rs 50 lakh during her luggage checking.
"The actress was carrying gold bangles, necklace, earrings and other gold and diamond jewellery in the bag. We are questioning the actress, who tried to evade customs duty by not declaring the goods," the customs officials said.
As per the latest reports; Minissha Lamba was being questioned till late in the night.
