A Poem about Art and Imagination (or in other words, Life and Death)

ART AND IMAGINATION

You found me when i was at my worst,

You put me back together,

But something happened and you died,

I will cherish our memories forever,

I remember the day that i met you,

You were so full of life and happiness,

But i stand here by our fantasy place,

I feel like my life is becoming a mess,

I was Art, and you were Imagination,

You were always like the other half of me,

My eyes well up in a rain of tears,

As your ashes are drifted out to sea,

I will always think about the times,

That you and i had,

I promise to look out onto the horizon,

And never be sad,

You taught me a lot of things,

To open up your mind,

Just close your eyes and imagine a world,

There could be anything you can find,

Now i will go back to our fantasy place,

Where you were Imagination and i was Art,

I will close my eyes happily,

Because i know you'll always be in my heart...

I wrote this poem because whenever you lose someone special in your life (no matter who they are), they will always be a part of you and your memories that'll keep them alive. Bridge to Terabithia inspired me to write this poem, because it's such a touching and beautiful movie. I hope you guys like this poem as much as i do, and please comment and tell me what you think of it...

Heart of a Volunteer/The Blue Bird

Hello fellow bloggers!

As you know by now, i'm a movie junkie and a music junkie hehe :D Right now i'm listening to the Pearl Harbor Soundtrack, it's the track Heart of a Volunteer...for those who haven't seen the movie, SPOILERS DON'T READ ON....

This track is the best out of the whole soundtrack, it's the bit where Danny dies and the ending with his son (so damn tiny and GORGEOUS!) which makes me bawl my eyes out so much, even more because of the music and the boy Danny, was named after his father, and he is soooooo cute! Michael Bay is probably one of the best directors of all time, i love every single one of his movies :D hehe

But this is a writing blog isn't it? So let's just get down to writing...
I've written heaps of poems and songs when i was little...but other than my poem 'Freinds', this poem is another one of my favourites which i made up when i was little....have a read....

The Blue Bird

There’s a blue bird,

With a beautiful wing,

Who is very rare,

And can very well sing,

Each and everyday,

The blue bird flies,

Back to her nest,

Where her youngsters cry.

I don't know why it's my favourite...maybe because it's so true...but yeah it's my favourite and i love it :D
I've been watching Pokemon episodes the whole day hehe, i'm 19 and i still love it! The old ones i mean, like Seasons 1 to 9 maybe :D I would love to buy them, but i can't get them anywhere....no internet because i don't use credit cards and i don't plan to use them in the future, i don't want no debts....lol

Well i'm going to go, i really can't bother writing so much today...i will follow the other people's blogs too, but not today lol, just want some time off blogging, until tomorrow.... :D

A poem about what a friend should be...

I wrote this poem when i was little, i think it's pretty good...also this poem is copywrited by me....

A friend is a person,

Who is loving and kind,

Who will always be honest,

And will never tell lies,

A friend will help you,

Within good times and bad,

In any situation,

Things will never be sad,

A friend will stay with you,

If you need to talk,

Just go outside,

And take a long walk,

A friend is a person,

Who will listen to you,

You can tell them everything,

They can be honest with you too,

A friend is a person,

Who would never get upset,

If you both liked a person,

You won’t have to fret,

A friend would never cry,

If you told them how you felt,

They would never put you down,

Wouldn’t let your heart melt,

A friend is a person,

Who will always be a friend,

In times when you get sick,

They’ll have flowers to send,

God makes these friends,

Just for you,

In good times and bad,

You’re a friend to them too.

Hi guys,

I'm new to this blog stuff, so if i muck up on something, my bad!

I'm only doing this blog stuff because of my close friend Cory, i've seen his blogs and i love it, so i thought i would start one myself, and to get with the times hehe.

For all those who don't know who i am, my name is Mindy and i am an aspiring author ready to make readers awed and get noticed by the public for my writing.
I will post my thoughts, poems that i write, bits of my chapters from my novels, so those out there who are willing to buy my books in the near by future can get a glimpse of what i write. I will also write my thoughts on other things too just so you can get to know me at the same time.
