"Ex-Gay" Convention Set For Minnesota
Exodus International will hold its 2012 annual "ex-gay" convention in St. Paul, Minnesota. Did the Bachmanns have something to do with that? Amid news that Rep. Michele Bachmann’s Christian counseling clinic performs therapy aimed at “curing” gays and lesbians of homosexuality, the nation’s largest “ex-gay” organization, Exodus International, announced it will hold its annual conference, “Exodus Freedom,” in St. Paul next year. The last time an Exodus conference came to Minnesota, Bachmann gave it a glowing endorsement. According to Exodus International, the conference will be held the last weekend of July 2012 at Northwestern College. Northwestern is a private Christian college with deep connections to Minnesota’s most conservative Christians. Minnesota Family Council CEO John Helmberger was a member of the college’s board of trustees until 2008, and current MFC associate Megan Doyle sits on the board. Bachmann’s been a speaker at the college, and the school has placed interns with her office. When Exodus last held its convention in Minnesota, Crazy Eyes welcomed them: "I know that Love Won Out will present the truth about homosexuality and present it in a compassionate and loving manner. Those of us working to safeguard marriage from redefinition by radical judges must inform our efforts with an understanding of the deep emotional wounds that many in the homosexual community carry. I look forward to welcoming Minnesotans and residents of surrounding states to hear the message of healing that is possible."

HomoQuotable - Greg Quinlan
"Why have gay activists instigated media attention over ex-gays and the husband of Presidential candidate Michelle Bachmann? Apparently, Mr. Bachmann, who has a PhD in clinical psychology, operates several counseling centers which also offer services to homosexual clients seeking to overcome unwanted same-sex attractions. But because even one ex-gay proves that homosexual behavior is not innate or immutable, the gay lobby’s fear of their former members results in false claims and attacks aimed at preventing homosexuals from exercising their right to self-determination. They cannot bear to have even one homosexual leave homosexuality, hence their outrage at Dr. Bachmann. I know because I am ex-gay myself. I suffer more harassment as a former homosexual than I ever did as an out and proud homosexual." - PFOX head Greg Quinlan, who wants President Obama to recognize "ex-gay" as its own separate sexual orientation.

Alan Chambers: Celibate "Ex-Gays" Are Still Not Holy Enough For Jeebus
"Celibacy is the godly option for all single men and women. Yet today, while many Christians with same-sex attractions are choosing celibacy, they’re also opting to keep the gay identity/label. This falls short of God’s best because identity matters. How we view and refer to ourselves is very important. Twenty years ago when I began my journey out of the gay lifestyle toward holiness, I could’ve simply worked on my sexual urges and opted not to deal with the deeper issues that fueled my desire for sex. I could’ve called myself a celibate gay man and left it at that. But that wouldn’t have taken me far." - Exodus International president Alan Chambers, who may go the rest of his entire life without sucking another cock (which is very doubtful), but who will go to his grave as a homosexual. And nothing else.

HomoQuotable - Greg Quinlan
"First it was domestic partnership, then it was civil unions; now they're complaining civil unions don't work. We could have killed this in New York if the church had been the church and stood up and said 'no.' When the church does its job, we defend marriage; we defend families. When the church sits back and does nothing, then we lose. Homosexuality is not a civil right." - "Ex-gay" activist Greg Quinlan, new spokesman for the New Jersey Family Policy Council.
